The theme for the day’s meeting was “The Power of Sports”

We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Evan brought us a subject-based theme as Toastmaster today, reminding us that sports bring people together, provide life lessons, can be an escape. Sports can be an absolute heartbreak. Sports are powerful. We had two prepared speakers. Patrick with his ice breaker which included riding around on his horse at the top of Bull Mountain and Pradip with his persuasive speech on the power of social media to burn curry. The Grammarian of the day was Tom, a pinch hitter who did three roles. His word of the day was “referee.” Tom was also the Table topics master. Lorri’s talk was voted as favorite table topic. With two speakers we also had two evaluations, which forced us to be concise and be done within the hour. We welcomed two guests today, Vivek and KateLynn. This weekend is the TLI Training. Next week’s meeting will be remotely on Zoho.
