Tuesday, February 10, 2026 – 12 Noon – 1 PM PT Theme: When Days Are Short
The theme for the day’s meeting was “When Days Are Short”
We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Pradip was our Toastmaster today. He also picked up the Positivity role and gave us inspiration with his uplifting message about the starfish that gets thrown back into the ocean. He started a Nepali club that taught children their native language. His reward years later was to hear a youth give a speech in correct Nepalese. Lorri handled the Grammarian role as well as Timer role. Her WOD, Word of the Day was “patience”. Patrick gave his prepared speech about having an addiction to drumming This was only his second speech. Summer won the table topics portion with her deliberately slow deliverance of her talk on taking advantage of short winter days. The squawker implement was reintroduced to the club and may be used at future in-person meetings. This weekend is a Club Officer Board meeting. All are invited. Next week’s meeting will be on Zoho and at the Beaverton Library.
