The theme for the day’s meeting was “The Pacific Ocean”

We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Today’s meeting was online only. Lorri was our Toastmaster today. President Dan, took the time to relay some thoughts about ocean as an intro to Lorri’s Toastmaster duties. This was a nice reflection. Kristin’s prepared speech was about a new friend found by visiting a Little Free Library. Her new friend is the author Alexander McCall Smith who wrote her new favorite series, the #1 Ladies Detective Agency. His work has earned him a CBE, which is an award higher than the one given to Paul McCartney, a citizen’s knighthood.  Pradip was our Table Topics Master. Summer was timer. She had Tom’s table topics clocked at a reputation-breaking time of only 1:23′. The Word of the day from Jose was “Endless” in keeping with the Ocean theme. It turned out to be a difficult challenge for most people to use. We had two guests, Samuel actually won the table topics favorite.
