We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Kristin as the Toastmaster provided quips from Mark Twain on his 70th birthday in 1905. The prepared speaker was Pradip who spoke of a bucket list hike of “12 Suns and One circle” of the Annapurna circuit. He and Jose paved the way for using the room’s technical equipment. Every club meeting gives us a chance to practice new things. The general evaluator, Summer noted we needed more time before the meeting to get technicals set up. Evaluator Patrick concurred and gave the speaker high marks for getting him inspired to give a speech on hiking. The grammarian’s WOD: “Poise” fit with the goal of not only being older but wiser. Lorri handled Table Topics with questions appropriate. Evan won table topics as our favorite impromptu speaker. The meeting ended with suggestions on upcoming board membership.
