The theme for the day’s meeting was “Beat the Heat!”

We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Summer was Toastmaster today, reminding us of multiple ways we can become heated. Since we had a speaker cancellation she found us a pre-recorded speech from 2016, the D57 International Speech Contest on Don’t Mind the Heat. Patrick’s positivity message on heat gave us choices of Hide, Complain or let the heat make us resilient. We can ask “What does this heat mean to me?” Dan’s grammarian role gave us the WOD, “Sizzle”. Patrick gave us a table topics impromptu of staying calm when others are burning up. Kristin was GE, but she lost her audio late in the meeting. Next year’s Executive Board starts July 1.
