The theme for the day’s meeting was “Tropical Escapes”

We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Jose was our Toastmaster today, looking forward to tropical escapes. Yan’s prepared speech was about a tropical escape to Peru during a presidential overthrow. Needless to say that trip turned out differently than expected. Kristin’s grammarian role gave us the WOD, “calescent“, in keeping with the hot climate of a tropical escape. Lorri was the evaluator for Yan’s speech. Summer was the general evaluator. Summer also won the table topics. The Executive Board for next year was announced: Dan as president, Summer as VP Ed, Tom VP Membership, Kristin Secretary/Treasurer. Other roles will remain at large. These will be the next slate of club officers for the term July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Our next meeting is hybrid at the library and on line with Zoho.
