The theme for the day’s meeting was “Unmasked”

We are a Beaverton Toastmasters Club that meets weekly. Today’s meeting was online. We had a guest who immediately decided to become a member. Our Toastmaster today was Summer, who brought the engaging theme of Unmasked. The speaker today was our club President, Dan. He spoke on how to conceptualize the numbers in today’s news, a million, billion, trillion. To picture it, 1,000,000 seconds is 11.5 days. 1,000,000,000 seconds is 31 years. 1,000,000,000,000 seconds is 32,000 years. San’s WOD was empathy. He was the Grammarian and listened for any poignant vocabulary and interesting phrasing. Kristin did double duty as our GE and TableTopics master, with themes about the Unmasked. Summer referred to this as “Authenticity, the courage to be seen.” Summer also gave the evaluation for Dan.

Our next meeting will be online (Zoho). Info is listed on our page Meeting Information. See you there.
