A few important items of note:

1. Next week, May 23, 2017 we will enjoy our Third Annual Timber Talkers Outdoor Speaking School in the Woods meeting! Yes! Adjacent to the firehouse parking lot is a trail that leads across a babbling brook to Jack Park. We will meet under the trees, in the shade. Please bring a chair (or two to share) and your best outdoor selves. This is a great opportunity to practice speaking out doors amidst many distractions. Toddlers playing and/or crying, dog walkers, bicyclists, birds, goodness knows who might be in the park?! Read last year’s post
2. May 30, 2017 we will be nominating and voting for Timber Talkers Officer leadership roles. Please refer to the Competent Communicator Handbook pages 76-78 for clarification or read more here. Summarizing JP, serving in a leadership capacity is a wonderful way to learn more about Toast Masters as well as serve our club community in a positive manner. I find it very rewarding!
